About Us

About us at SunCatcherStudio - Jodie, Amy, and Bill Rosener

Hi! We are Jodie and Bill Rosener. We live on a small farm in Oklahoma with our daughter Amy. Together, we love teaching others about the rewarding experiences of creating things yourself. Hopefully this website will help inspire and motivate you. Below is video showing Bill turning a “small” bowl!

Bill is a professor at Northeastern State University during the day.  There he teaches courses in computer programming, computer graphics (including 3D), and website design. He has written numerous articles for “More WoodTurning Magazine”, “American Woodturner” and has given presentations as the Northeastern Oklahoma Wood Turners Association and the SouthWest Association of Turners. See his portfolio and demonstrations, publications, and awards and for a partial listing of his work and contributions.

History of SunCatcherStudio

SunCatcherStudio has been teaching and playing with wood and clay since 1997. Below are images of the original SunCatcherStudio built prior to 1997. Dirt floor and all!

In 2007, we took down the original structure to make room for the new 60′ x 40′ studio.
