Step 2. Cut Graham Crackers Using a Serrated Knife.
A serrated knife will allow you to cut the graham crackers without breaking them. If you are still having problems cutting your graham crackers, place them inside a damp paper dowel and microwave them for 10 seconds. This will help make the crackers softer.
Step 2. Separate Egg Whites from Yolk.
Use pasteurized eggs whites if you plan on eating your ginger bread house.
Step 3. Mix Egg Whites and Confectioners Sugar.
Mix one egg white with approximately one cup (4 ounces) of confectioners sugar.
Step 4. Apply Frosting using a Piping Bag.
Use frosting to join the pieces together. Allow the walls to set for at least two hours before adding the roof.
Step 5. Decorate Your Gingerbread House.
You can use M&M’s, mini cookies, Hershey’s Kisses and Hugs, candy canes, peppermints, chocolate bars, etc. to help make your gingerbread house shine!
